Alarum; and chambers go off.
Alarum is an ambient visualisation of the data collected by motion and sound sensors placed around Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The data often comes in every twenty to thirty seconds, depending on sensors’ connectivity, when it is analysed to determine the meaning behind the raw numbers.
I wrote about this project on my blog, and also in a little bit more detail about the sensor devices.
The raw data is still available on Xively.
The project is no longer running, but you can see the archived site.
