My partner coached me through making a loaf of sourdough. Thanks to his expert advice on timing, technique etc I made a truly impressive loaf. It was a real chonker. Its oven expansion was much more impressive than I anticipated. I couldn’t believe I managed to make something that good on my first try. Just look at it!
I’m making another one today.
Have your thighs ever started itching and stinging immediately after putting on trousers? Mine have. At first just a little bit, but within 15 minutes it became too noticeable to ignore. I couldn’t wait to get the trousers off. Well, well, well. If it isn’t our old friend, irritant contact dermatitis, I thought. But where did it come from? Why now? And then I remembered that recently Ocado substituted our usual fabric softener for Lenor Summer Breeze.
Last week I wrote about my face recovering from a heatwave dehydration-and-over-exfoliation incident, and I mentioned that it was still irritated. I assumed it was still healing. I was wrong. My face was just having a reaction to the stupid Lenor Summer Wheeze, applied to my face by a washable face mask I wore for a couple of hours. The stinging was concentrated in the areas where the mask rubbed the most. When I took some antihistamines my face pretty much immediately stopped hurting. It took me three days of suffering and the trouser incident to make the connection with the softener though.
The app library on the new iOS is brilliant. I put pretty much all apps in there to languish for all eternity. The next feature I want is auto-deletion of apps that haven’t been opened for over 6 months.
I hear that a new Hulk series is coming out soon, building on a popular story about He-Hulk. Looking forward to watching that.
